Prof. Aoife Daly speaks at an online event for the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, hosted by the youth-led non-profit organisation, ClimaTalk. The event covered the main topic of climate litigation, drawing on youth-led climate cases to explore the way children are using their rights to push the sustainability agenda.
On the evening of March 12th, Professor Aoife Daly joined the engaging online event "The future of youth climate litigation", hosted by ClimaTalk, to speak with young climate advocates about the future of climate litigation and the explosion of youth-led cases. Children and youth have been grappling with this innovative solution to push the climate agenda by taking States to court for their lack of responsibility towards the environment. Prof. Aoife Daly shared her insight on the ways in which youth-led climate litigation is transforming international human rights law and talked about the exciting, very relevant activities that the Youth Climate Justice team will be carrying out over the next 5 years.
