UCC Participates in Communications Staff Week, Rotterdam

Aoife Dowling, project manager on UNIC at UCC, participated in a UNIC Communications Staff Week at Erasmus University Rotterdam on 4-5 June 2024. 

The mini-conference covered a range of sessions relating to UNIC and communications generally. Highlights included a brainstorming of the 'UNIC Narrative', as well as talks on such diverse subjects as Generative AI, Communicating to Gen Z, Inclusive Communication, Crisis Communications, and Engaging Students. An evening session in the Theater Rotterdam introduced the 'brand alliance' collaboration between Erasmus University Rotterdam and businesses in the city.

The Communications Staff Week also provided an opportunity to connect with colleagues across UNIC partner universities as well as guest participants from universities in the Ukraine and from other European Universities Alliances: Enlight and Aurora. Colleagues shared thoughts on how UNIC is communicated across respective campuses.

Follow-up actions from the conference will include sharing knowledge within UCC communications colleagues, as well as integrating feedback into the localised communication strategy for UNIC.
