Caroline Joyce presents at the 12th European Organisation for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Disease meeting in Stockholm

Caroline Joyce presented her work on the use of the Abbott i-STAT®1 Point of Care device for hCG monitoring in early pregnancy at the 12th European Organisation for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Disease meeting in Stockholm on 24 May.  

This research was undertaken as part of Caroline’ doctoral studies, on the Irish Research Council-funded ‘Biomarkers for Gestational Trophoblastic Disease’ project. Caroline successfully defended her PhD thesis last month.  

The 12th European Organisation for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Disease meeting took place in Stockholm, at Karolinska University Hospital, on 24-25 May 2024. The European Organisation for Treatment of Trophoblastic Diseases is dedicated to optimise diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and research in Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD) by bringing together knowledge of clinicians and researchers working in the field of GTD in Europe.
