Irish-language Artist in Residence Spring 2024

The writer Thaddeus Ó Buachalla

Thanks to the support of the College of Arts, Thaddeus Ó Buachalla was our Irish-language Artist in Residence for Spring 2024. He met various undergraduate groups, as well as doing two sessions on Creative Writing for the MA in Modern Irish programme. The Irish-language student society, An Chuallacht, hosted two events with him. Ó Buachalla also delivered a public lecture on how his doctoral research informed his first novel, El, and he took part in an event at the Aula Maxima for all the various artists in residence across the College. We wish him all the best as he completes his second novel.
