At the very well attended event the Dean, Professor Mark Poustie provided an update on developments in the School and the keynote speaker, former Chief Justice and Adjunct Professor in the School of Law, Frank Clarke, delivered his address on The Common Law in Europe Post Brexit.
The Dean of the School of Law Prof Mark Poustie reflected: ‘It was great to have this meeting in person again after a 3 year gap caused by the pandemic. It is really important that we re-establish the dynamic of in person relationships. It was great to meet our growing body of alumni in Europe and hear the news of their success and advancement and also to share news of the School with them. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ambassador Kevin Conmy for his generosity in allowing us to use the Embassy for the event and for welcoming our guests so warmly, to former Chief Justice, Frank Clarke for his very engaging keynote speech, to my colleagues from the School of Law and the Alumni and Development office who organised, attended and supported the event and to all our alumni and friends who attended. Let us hope that we can look forward to a regular round of alumni meetings again!’
