FUAIM Music at UCC is delighted to welcome back colleagues and students to the new academic year with news of our Autumn 2024 season of Friday lunchtime concerts, FUAIM Lectures, and events in the Departments of Theatre and Film & Screen Media.

The Friday lunchtime concert series begins on Friday 27th September with a performance by the brilliant Rasa Nua, back by popular demand and featuring UCC's own Dara O'Brien with a programme of contemporary, Indian, klezmer and new world music.

Our concerts take place in the usual range of beautiful venues this season, including the Aula Maxima and the Glucksman Gallery on main campus, and the beautiful St. Fin Barre's Cathedral, and we hope you will join us for many of our wonderful events. As well as two concerts by The Vanbrugh and their guests (4 Oct, 15 Nov), the hugely popular UCC Choir will return with none other than singer Karen Underwood (6 Dec) for what is always a spectacular season finale.

We also welcome back Iranian classical santur player, Ramtin Nazarijou (29 Nov), and award-winning fiddle-player, singer, yodeller and composer - and UCC Music graduate - Claudia Schwab (1 Nov) for two solo concerts, as well as three wonderful duos De Ziah & Date (25 Oct), Clíodhna Octigan & Paul O'Donnell (8 Nov) and Aoife Ní Bhrían & Catrin Finch (22 Nov). Performances by contemporary ensemble, Ostravská banda (11 Oct) and early music ensemble led by Yonit Kosovske (18 Oct) complete our series offering for Autumn 2024.

All concerts begin at 1:10pm, admission is free and all are welcome!
