National Army Soldier John Curley (aged about 32) of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway (Rochestown)

Date of death: 9 Aug. 1922

Note: Curley was killed in action while fighting with Free State forces at Rochestown. In civilian life Curley had been a labourer. At the time of the 1911 census Curley and his wife Norah (both then aged 21) lived at 3 Paradise Row in Ballinasloe. They had been married for a year and had an infant son named Stephen.
