Note: A demobilised soldier who had served in the British army, Denis Daly was found dead at Rathruane near Goleen on 6 February 1922. The cause of death was not known; there was no inquest. See Death Certificate (Goleen District, Union of Skull), 6 Feb. 1922.

Denis Daly was in 1911 the husband of Catherine Daly and the father of two young boys. A farm labourer then aged 30, he lived with his wife and children at house 19 in Ballydehob.
