Note: Members of the IRA fired on Constables Fallon and Cullen while they were in Kingston’s public house in Clonakilty and also threw a bomb into the premises. Both were badly wounded. Fallon, formerly a farmer in County Roscommon, died of his wounds in Cork Military Hospital on 9 May. He had eleven years of service with the RIC.
