The Dante Public Lecture Series 2013
The Department of Italian and the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures UCC are pleased to announce a third series of public lectures on the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri.
All lectures will be in English.
Tues February 12 – Bernard O’Donoghue (University of Oxford) - 'Dante and the Irish Poets'
Tues February 19 - Professor Claire Honess (University of Leeds/ Leeds Centre for Dante Studies)- '"Un'anima sola soletta": the Strangeness of Solitude in Dante's Commedia'
Tues February 26 – Professor Éamonn Ó Carragáin (UCC) - 'Dante and Rome: Ideals and Realities'
Tues March 5 – Professor Graham Allen (UCC) – ‘Romantic Dantes’
VENUE: All lectures will take place at 7.30 pm in BOOLE LECTURE THEATRE 1, UCC.
