School of The Human Environment (SHE)

The School of the Human Environment (SHE) is a constituent of the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences (CACSSS).  It is also an Associate School within the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS).  SHE comprises the Departments of Geography, Archaeology and Classics and its work brings together many complementary aspects of the Arts and Sciences.  School staff are engaged in internationally acclaimed research in many of these subject areas. Dr Kieran Hickey is the current Head of School for SHE.

SHE currently offers over 20 different Degree, Diploma, Certificate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, providing training and BA, BSc, MA, MSc, MPhil and PhD degree level outlets in Geography, Archaeology, Classics, Earth Science and Environmental Science. Staff and students of the school are also frequently engaged with Community Groups and Schools.
