Dr. Tatiana Vagramenko has received the Early-Stage Researcher of the Year award.

17 Jun 2024

Dr. Vagramenko is leading the SFI-IRC Pathway project (total budget €515,000). Additionally, she has secured an IRC Ukrainian Researcher Scheme grant, a prestigious British Library grant in 2023 and UCLA grant in 2024 to preserve endangered archives in war-torn Ukraine.

As part of her current History Declassified project, Dr Vagramenko participates in rescuing and digitizing nearly 500,000 critically endangered documents, ensuring access to recently declassified Soviet secret police archives, and documenting war crimes against cultural heritage in Ukraine. The open-access multimedia History Declassified Digital Exhibition and Archive will provide a sanctuary for endangered archival collections, housing previously untapped Soviet regime archival collections, oral history accounts, ethnographic data, and eyewitness testimonies spanning Ukraine’s 20th and 21st centuries, including the period of the current war.
