Quercus Scholars Competing at the Olympics

Paris ’24 is only around the corner and a number of Quercus scholars will be taking part in the Games.

Quercus scholar, Mags Cremen, will be in the Women’s Light Wweight x2 with Quercus Alum, Aoife Casey.

Two more Quercus alum, Paul O’Donovan and Emily Hegarty will also be competing. Paul will be in the Men’s Light Weight x2 with UCC alum Fintan McCarthy, and Emily will be in the Women’s Four.

Mags is studying Physical Education, Sports’ Studies and Arts currently, Aoife graduated from Medical and Health Sciences in 2022, Paul graduated from Graduate Entry Medicine in 2023 and Emily Hegarty graduated from Physiology in 2023. Paul won Gold in Tokyo 2020 and Emily won Bronze, no pressure guys!
