Congratulations to School of Pharmacy PhD student Michael Neary who was recently awarded the prize of best in-person student poster at the UCC College of Medicine and Health (CoMH) Futures Research Conference held on 21 September 2023.
Michael’s poster entitled, “siRNA-mediated gene silencing by nebulised lipid-based delivery vectors: In vitro performance in A549 cells” details his research findings carried out under the supervision of Dr Katie Ryan.
His research is investigating siRNA, a promising new class of gene therapeutics with a particular focus thus far on pulmonary delivery via nebulisation and its resultant impact on the stability and functionality of siRNA formulations.
