MSc/PG Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Systems Graduation Ceremony
On Wed 07 Dec 2012 the graduation ceremony took place of the MSc/PG Diploma In Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Systems at the School of Pharmacy UCC. This year eleven people graduated from the programme. Four students, Patricia Cooney, Rachel Gatt Rutter, Francene Cauchi and Sinead O'Malley were conferred with a Masters in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Systems. Seven students were awarded Postgraduate Diplomas. All graduates are in full time employment within the Pharmaceutical Industry.
This 2 year programme is recognised by various EU Regulatory Authorities as fulfilling the educational requirements for Qualified Person (QP) status as defined in EU legislation. Two of the MSc graduates, Rachel Gatt Rutter and Francene Cauchi, completed this distance learning programme while based in Pharmaceutical companies in Malta. On the basis of having completed this programme, both Maltese graduates have since been registered to act as Qualified Persons by the Medicines Authority in Malta. This is a testament to the growing reputation of this course to deliver a programme which meets internationally accredited standards. There are currently two students from Malta enrolled in this years MSc programme.
