PROTECT-EUROPE Vaccinating Europe to protect against HPV cancers

EU4Health 2 year Programme PROTECT-EUROPE Vaccinating Europe to protect against HPV cancers funded by the European Union was launched in Brussels on the 26th and 27th January.
#PROTECTEUROPE, a major and innovative two-year project to get more young people in Europe vaccinated against the often deadly human papilloma virus (#HPV), was officially launched with 33 partner organisations and 16 countries. Professor Josephine Hegarty (UCC), Dr Serena Fitzgerald (UCC) and Professor Jonathan Drennan (UCD) are coordinating Work Package 5 on Monitoring and Evaluation. The Consortium presented at the EU Commission being kindly hosted by Alin Mituta (MEP, Romania).
The PROTECT-Europe project focuses on 1) best clinical practice: from science to delivery 2) getting the message across borders: targeted public health communications and 3) members states guidelines and support.
