Dr. María del Carmen Benavides Cuéllar

Biography

Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of León, Spain, 2009.

Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, University of Valladolid, Spain, 1996.

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Systems Engineering,  University of León, Spain, 1994. 

I am an associate professor at the University of León, Spain, where I have been working for the past 15 years. 

I have teaching experience in Computer Networks, Internet Services, Computer Network Security, Multiagent Systems and Knowledge Engineering. 

I have been in charge of different aspects of management in the University of Leon:

  • Academic Director in the area of Technological Projection for 7 years.
  • Erasmus Students Coordinator for 13 years.
  • Secretary of the Department of Electrical, Systems and Automatic for 1 year. 

Research Interests

I have some research experience in Knowledge Engineering, Expert Systems and Multiagent Systems.

My main current interest is on practical applications of software defined networks and network security.
