UCC MEngSc student wins prize in IMechE/Engineers Ireland "Applied Student Engineering Project" competition

UCC mechanical engineering student Rohan Powar, studying for the MEngSc in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing, Process, and Automation Systems) has won 3rd place in the 2020 IMechE/Engineers Ireland "Applied Student Engineering Project" competition.
Rohan reached the final held on 11th November 2020, and he won 3rd place overall for his MEngSc project "Design of a Cobot for Flexible Manufacturing". This was a tough competition and Rohan was competing against postgraduate student projects (including PhD projects) from across Ireland.
