International Undergraduate Students

The School of Mathematical Sciences welcomes undergraduate International students from all over the world.

If you have completed High School (or equivalent) with high grades in mathematics and satisfy the English proficiency requirements (see below) then you may apply to our School. Applications will be considered on a case by case basis. For informal queries contact sms@ucc.ie

Current English proficiency requirements:

  • IELTS score of 6.0 - with no individual section lower than 5.5 
  • TOEFL score of 80 - with minimum scores as follows: Listening- 17; Reading - 18; Speaking - 20; Writing – 17

UCC - BTBU Joint Programme in Risk & Actuarial Studies:

The School of Mathematical Sciences now offers a joint BSc Risk & Actuarial Studies degree programme in partnership with Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU).

 

Diploma in Statistical Studies:

  • This Diploma programme is available only to students of a partner Chinese university, with which UCC has a bilateral agreement under Statute 263 of the National University of Ireland. Having studied for three years at a partner Chinese university, students will study for one year at University College Cork, taking the programme to a value of 60 credits. International Postgraduate Students

The School of Mathematical Sciences welcomes postgraduate International students for:

  • PhD
  • Research Masters
  • Taught Masters
  • Higher Diploma in Statistics
