24 Apr 2025
All are welcome to join Anne at the launch on Friday 16th May, 17:00 - 18:00

A visual exploration of peace, healing and serenity by Anne McNamee.

Exhibition: Quiet Light: A visual exploration of peace, healing and serenity

Artist: Anne McNamee

This exhibition presents a collection of original paintings inspired by Ireland’s landscapes and coastlines that evoke a sense of calm, reflection, and emotional connection. Rooted in Anne’s passion for creating peaceful and uplifting imagery, this exhibition explores themes of resilience, wellness, and human connection to nature - integral to mental and emotional health.

Drawing on her background as an artist who transitioned from city life to the serenity of the Irish countryside, these paintings celebrate the healing power of the natural world. The rhythmic lines of rolling hills, the vibrant colors of coastal scenes, and the soft textures of rural vistas reflectboth the outer environment and inner landscapes of tranquility and contemplation.

Anne’s paintings are always a celebration of the interplay between light and nature. Her images have been described as otherworldly, and she aims to create peaceful dreamlike images, weaving in elements of Irish skies, the sea and the land. The skies in her paintings are layered and change with the light. Each painting is not just a visual journey, but a deeply personal one revealing layers of meaning, Anne hopes her paintings bring a sense of comfort and restoration to those who see them.
