JCOERE Researcher Gives Presentation at INSOL YANIL Webinar

17 Dec 2020

On December 16th, Niccoló Usai, research fellow at UNIFI and member of the JCOERE team, gave a presentation at the The Younger Academics Network of Insolvency Law (YANIL), "Coffee Chat" webinar series.

Niccoló Usai had the opportunity to give a presentation on elements of the project research this week, at the The Younger Academics Network of Insolvency Law (YANIL), "Coffee Chat" webinar series. Co-hosted by YANIL and by the INSOL International Early Researcher Academics (ERA), the Coffee Chat webinar series aims to maintain connections and networks between younger academics that would usually be served by the various conferences and events that have been cancelled in 2020 as a result of the pandemic. These groups are comprised of LLM and PhD students as well as researchers within the first 7 or so years of completing their PhD.

Niccoló gave an insightful presentation on the Codice della crisi d’impresa e dell’insolvenz, entitled "Italy's New Restructuring Law: Implementing The EU Directive n.1023/2019". The presentation focused on elements of the findings and conclusions of the JCOERE project research. It was an excellent opportunity to illustrate the new Italian Insolvency Law Reform and the future implementation of the EU Directive on Preventive Restructuring (PRD) in Italy. It was significant in terms of engaging with the project network and in disseminating the results of the research conducted during the JCOERE Project.

After the presentation concluded, there was an opportunity for Niccoló to engage with different members of the (virtual) audience, discussing different topics related to the Directive and the JCOERE Project research findings and engaging positively with experts in this field.

Niccoló's presentation was followed by other contributions from PhD candidates and researchers from different EU countries. The event was an excellent opportunity to disseminate part of the results of the research that was conducted during the JCOERE Project.
