Gaeilge for the Terrified

Barr na gCnoc organizes Irish for the Terrified as part of the Lifelong Learning Festival.
Members of the public were invited to Gaelcholáiste Mhic Shuibhne as part of the Cork Lifelong Learning Festival. Attendees were given the oportunity to avail of a small one on one class with a voluntary tutor. Amongst the tutors were eight undergratuate students who spent the morning teaching and explaining the Irish langauge to those who had little or no experience with the language previous to this.
A large number of parents and members of the public were in attendance, amongst them there were a large group of Ukranian parents. A lunch was provided for everyone after the session.
It is hoped that an event similar to this will be organized again in the future.
