Hat trick of awards for Department of General Practice!

Three awards were made to two representatives from the Department of General Practice at the recent AUDGPI (Association of University Departments of General Practice in Ireland) Annual Scientific Meeting on 8th March 2018.  Dr Aisling Jennings received both the James McCormick award for best research project and the AUDGPI bursary for best presentation, and Dr Tony Foley was awarded the George Irwin Prize for best educational project.

The title of Tony's work was 'The candidate perspective of the clinical competency test (CCT) of the MICGP examination' and was co authored with A Jennings, E Walsh, P Leggett, M O’Reilly, M Owens, K McLoughlin.   Aisling's presention was 'General practitioners’ knowledge, attitudes and experiences of managing behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia: a mixed methods systematic review' and was co authored with T Foley, K Walsh, A Coffey, J Browne, C Bradley
