Evening course in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Dublin

2 Nov 2021

Together with the Goethe Institute Dublin, we are offering A1.1 beginners and A2.1 Intermediate Beginners evening classes starting on 8th November 2021. We are offering a special rate for UCC staff and students.

The UCC anchors for this cooperation are Dr. Werner Garstenauer and Sabine Manhartsberger. They will be engaging with the course in its first iteration, and shall be on hand to help with local enquiries.

Course Type: Blended Learning Online

This is a rather intensive course with 6 units of 45 minutes a week for 8 weeks.

Blended Learning combines the benefits of live sessions with a teacher and other students and the flexibility of self-study on the learning platform at a time that is convenient for the student. The course is divided equally between independent study and live-sessions, which leads to optimal learning results.

Online live sessions

You will attend online live teaching sessions with the teacher and the group.

These online live sessions take place once a week on Zoom. In these live sessions, you learn in a group of between 8 and 15 participants. You can exchange ideas with the other course participants in person or interactively via chat and forums. The teacher gives you individual feedback on your exercises and is available to answer questions.

Learning Platform

The other part of the course is dedicated to self-study, where you have the chance to study at a time that suits you. You will be working through varied exercises on our modern learning platform.

The Online Live sessions and the self-study time is connected with each other for optimal learning results.
