2014 Walsh Fellowship Short-Term Overseas Training Programme

“Grace Kelly, Michael Egan, Tara Carthy, Dheeraj Rathore, Christine Cummins, Ian Thomas and Lisa Zychowski who are some of the awardees of the 2014 Walsh Fellowship Short-Term Overseas Training Programme, with Gerry Boyle, Director and Lance O’Brien, Walsh Fellowship Manager.”

Two Food Science students Grace Kelly and Lisa Zychowski have been awarded the 2014 Walsh Fellowship Short-term Overseas Training Programme to study abroad for a term of their postgraduate studies. 

Grace will be going to Prof Dérick Rousseau in the Chemistry and Biology Department of Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.

Lisa will be going to CSIRO in Melbourne, Australia and will be working with Prof Mary Ann Augustin

While based at the Teagasc Food Research Centre in Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork, both Grace and Lisa are co-supervised by Dr Seamus O’Mahony and Prof Alan Kelly in the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, UCC.
