Yvonne Fitzmaurice is a Speech and Language Therapist and PhD Candidate at the University of
Galway. She has a special interest in enhancing communication for people with acquired speech and
language disorders. Her PhD research employs a realist approach to the development of a
communication partner training programme for student health care professionals.
