Becoming an Age-Friendly University

UCC values equality, diversity and inclusion as integral parts of the culture of independent thinking fostered by the University; therefore participation of different age groups in UCC life is a core value of our institution. A submission is currently being prepared for UCC  to join the Age Friendly University Global Network which involves not just thinking about older students, but also about our research, our older staff members and our community residents.

The purpose of this workshop is to share the work completed to date and to invite input from stakeholders on current activities happening across the University that could be mapped to the 10 Principles of an Age Friendly University.  The workshop is open to anyone with an interest in the contribution UCC can make to respond to the interests and needs of an aging population. Free - all welcome - please sign up at link. Organised by Michelle Nelson, UCC Age-Friendly Coordinator
