Work Placement

Students in their third year of the Data Science and Analytics BSc programme undertake Work Placement from Spring until August. This placement is an integral part of the curriculum, designed to equip students with the necessary skills for the workforce.

Work Placement is run in conjunction with the Career Services Office in UCC. Work Placement is a partnership between the student, the employer and the University. This experience gives students the opportunity to gain practical experience relevant to their course and allows them to put into practice the theories and methodologies studied at University. Students complete their third year examinations in December, return to campus for an 8 week semester in January, and then go on work placement from March to August inclusive.
