Travel to Cork

The COMET 2023 conference will be hosted at the University’s Western Gateway building, which is within walking distance of several major hotels and of the city centre. The Western Gateway Building is number 90 on the linked Campus Map (which can be downloaded as a pdf).

University Accommodation

A number of rooms will be available in the university’s brand new “Crow’s Nest” student accommodation complex, which is opening in the summer of this year.

Rates: €80.00 for a single room and €110.00 for a double room per night, including continental breakfast. All rooms are ensuite. Bookings can be by emailing beds@ucc.ie, and will need to include reference to COMET2023 in order to avail of these rates.

Some of the privately owned student apartment complexes in Cork City also offer short-term accommodation over the summer. Availability of rooms changes year on year, however, and we are not able to provide details, nor offer any endorsements. Special Hotel Rates

  • The Clayton Hotel Cork City are happy to offer a 10% discount on the best available room rate to COMET2023 delegates. If you wish to make a reservation, please contact +353 (0)21 422 4900.

 

  • The River Lee Hotel in Cork City (within walking distance of the conference venue) have limited availability of rooms at a reduced rate for COMET conference delegates. If you are interested, please contact reservations at cork@doylecollection.com before May 16th, and quote reference COME200623 to avail of the preferred rate. Please note that this code isn’t available with their website.
