Five-storey house constructed in China with 3D printer
22 Jan 2015

A construction company in China has used recycled construction waste as the "ink" to build a five-storey dwelling -- with a 3D printer.
A 150 metre by 6 metre 3D printer was used to print the building sections, with each level of the building taking one day to print, and five days to assemble. The company, WinSun Decoration Design Engineering Co. of Shanghai, has built several houses using 3D printing in the past year, and hopes to construct a 12-storey block in the near future.
