The College of Business and Law launched its Staff Recognition Awards in 2023 to honour a number of staff members for their outstanding contributions to college life and the wider community.

The College recognised individuals or teams in the following categories: Leadership, Impact, Exceptional Citizen, Enhancing the Student Experience, Outstanding Colleague, and Cross Campus Engagment.  All students and staff of the College were invited to submit nominations for these awards, which were presented at College Assembly held on 14 December in the Council Room.   Head of College Professor Thia Hennessy noted "To be nominated is an outstanding achievement in itself as we have many exceptional individuals and teams in this College.  Given the strong field of nominees, it was very difficult for the Awards Selection Committee to reach their final decision so a joint award has been given in some categories."
