Careers Seminar - Roles available in BioMarin for Science Graduates

The UCC Biochemistry and Biotechnology Society hosted a careers seminar on Tuesday 22nd October 2019 in WGB. 

John Creedon who is a BSc Biochemistry and MSc Biotechnology graduate discussed the Biotechnology masters from a student’s perspective and provided students with tips on how he secured his industrial placement and discussed his difference roles in BioMarin, which included Biotechnician and Manufacturing shift lead in downstream operations. John fielded a lot of questions from very engaged students, who following his presentation were very interested in working in BioMarin and in their graduate programme.

Professor Tommie McCarthy, Director of the very successful MSc in Biotechnology discussed the content, placement and the application process of the programme.

Dr Sinéad Kerins was delighted to welcome John back to UCC and she thanked Jamie Bourke for Chairing the event and Society for organising such an informative and engaging seminar.
