State-of-the-art trace gas and radical detection at the Irish Atmospheric Simulation Chamber (IASC).
Multiple cavity-enhanced spectrometric setups are being developed at IASC. The key target species for the new technologies with high relevance for urban atmospheres are NO3, NO2, HONO, OH, HO2, and (CHO)2, whose time-dependent concentrations are to be experimentally simulated for several tropospheric oxidation scenarios and particle formation involving diurnal cycles.
