Dr. Eric Downer talks at MS Ireland conference on World MS Day

Dr. Eric Downer, Dept. Anatomy and Neuroscience, delivered a research talk at the “Living with MS” one day conference to mark World MS Day.

This meeting was organised by the Southern Regional Office of MS Ireland for people with MS and their families, partners and friends. World MS Day fell on Wednesday 28th May and this event was the main event of the year for People with MS and their families in the Southern Region.The Conference was opened by the Lord Mayor, Catherine Clancy, and was attended by over 240 people.

Dr. Downer delivered a talk entitled “The Therapeutic Role of Cannabinoids in Multiple Sclerosis” alongside presentations from Consultant Neurologist’s Dr. Brian Sweeney (Cork University Hospital) and Prof. Michael Hutchinson (St. Vincent’s University Hospital).
