What Is the Role of a Student Ambassador?

The PLUS Programme occasionally have paid Student Ambassador opportunities for current UCC students. You can ask to be put on a list for consideration for future opportunities which may arise in the application steps below 

The role of a Student Ambassador is a rewarding and challenging opportunity

Student Ambassadors are tasked with a variety of duties such as:

  • chaperoning primary/secondary students around campus,
  • ensuring their safety while on campus,
  • recording attendance etc. 

This is an engaging and interactive role which requires the completion of TUSLA E-Learning Programme, Garda Vetting & an in-person training session.

Where Do I Find the PLUS Programme?

The PLUS Programme is found on the 1st floor, The Hub Building, UCC Main Campus, College Road, Cork, UCC.

How Do I Apply?

After submitting the online registration form, the PLUS Programme will request that you be put forward for Garda Vetting. You will receive an email from GardaVetting once this has been done. Students will be put forward for Garda Vetting on a monthly basis. 

Successful applicants must attend a mandatory training session for each outreach acitiviy you are invovled in. Training dates will be released closer to the start date of the activity or event.
