UCC MPlan student Róisín Murphy wins Irish Planning Institute Student Researcher of the Year Award

Róisín Murphy, UCC Masters in Planning and Sustainable Development student, was named joint winner of the IPI Student Researcher of the Year Award at the 50th Anniversary Conference of the Irish Planning Institute. Róisín was recognised for her innovate design strategy for the Tivoli Docklands.

Students graduate from Ireland’s 'Inside Out' prison-university programme

Students from Ireland’s prison-university education programme ‘Inside Out’ graduated at a ceremony. The pioneering programme saw UCC BA Criminology programme (‘outside students’) and Cork Prison (‘inside students’) students work together to debate university academic texts, and explore social inequalities and structural harms. This programme is the first of its kind in Ireland and is a collaboration between University College Cork, the Cork ETB Prison Education Unit and Cork Prison.
