Note: Private McKenzie of the 1st Machester Regiment, based at Charles Fort in Kinsale, died instantaneously of a bullet wound through the heart that was self-inflicted by accident on 25 June 1921. He was buried in St Mary’s Church of England Graveyard at Bottle in Lancashire, but this graveyard was destroyed in the Second World War.
