PLRG TY Project

What is the project about?

PLRG TY Project | Understanding and improving secondary school students’ awareness of reproductive health issues relating to fertility and pregnancy loss

The primary project aim is to improve knowledge at secondary school age level of issues in relation to fertility difficulties and pregnancy loss, including miscarriage and stillbirth. These are issues that will affect many of these students directly/indirectly during their lives.

This project also aims to draw attention to factors that will help students reduce their future risk of pregnancy complications, improve personal knowledge should these issues affect them and help them provide support should it affect their friends, family members or peers/future colleagues.

What is involved?

The project will adopt a participatory and strengths-based approach, working with students to identify their baseline knowledge, and where they derive this information, as well as exploring their needs and helping them to develop peer-appropriate interventions and/or resources.
