Muhammad Qamar Usman

Biography

Muhammad Qamar Usman is currently a PhD student in the ADVANCE CRT Centre within the School of Computer Science & IT, UCC under the supervision of Dr. Aisling O’Driscoll and  Prof. Cormac Sreenan. Qamar received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical(telecommunication) Engineering from the COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus, Pakistan in 2016, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a major in Wireless Communication from the COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah campus, Pakistan in 2020.

He has worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the sub-campus of the University of Punjab, Pakistan from 2019 to 2023. He has also worked as a visiting lecturer at the University of Wah, Pakistan from 2021 to 2023.

Research Interests

His current research interests include Vehicular Ad hoc Networks, Flying Ad hoc Networks, Radio Access Networks, Energy efficient protocols for 5G networks, and machine learning.
