UCC subjects ranked in world’s top 50 and 100

UCC has been named as one of the world's top universities for the study of 29 subjects according to the latest world subject rankings produced by higher education analysts, QS. This is up from 24 subjects featuring last year. Nursing (27), Agriculture & Forestry (84), Law (94), Performing Arts (51-100) have been ranked in the top 50 and top 100 in the world.

On World Book Day a stunning collection of Irish prose and poetry is published

On World Book Day (March 6) a stunning collection of Irish prose and poetry by the late Michael Kirby (Mícheál Ua Ciarmhaic) is published in University College Cork (UCC), while the archives of the late writer and painter will be open to the public for the first time.

UCC researchers to develop innovative solutions for major emergencies

Cork Opera House and UCC welcome Tatiana dos Santos as New Irish Theatre Artist in Residence for 2025

Theatre maker and dance artist Tatiana dos Santos announced as a New Irish Theatre Artist in Residence. The residency aims to support Tatiana to freely explore her practice, share unique stories and deepen her relationship with the Irish theatre scene and local communities.
