Can I order a new / replacement mobile device?

Yes, please submit your request to mobiles@ucc.ie to initiate the process. 

  1. The following information should be submitted as part of the application:
  • Name of applicant
  • Email address
  • Cost code
  • Contact number for delivery
  • Preferred handset model (based on list provide from mobiles@ucc.ie)
  • Shipping address (with postcode
  • Confirm acceptance of UCC mobile policy.
  • The applicant CC’s their HOD when applying – for approval purposes
  • The application must be pre-approved by the applicant's College Financial Analyst before an order can be processed. An e-mail copy of this approval must accompany the application
  1. Arrangements will be made, where possible, for orders to be delivered directly to private addresses.
  2. Both Three / Vodafone are reporting low stock levels of devices so applicants might not receive their preferred model.

Can I order a mobile broadband device?

What are the monthly data allowances under the UCC contract?

For phone accounts

  • All Vodafone users are on 20GB per month.
  • All Three users are on 15 GB.
  • Higher data packages are available. Please e-mail mobiles@ucc.ie for further details.

For mobile data only packages all Vodafone / Three users are on 15GB

  • Once the data limits are exceeded additional charges will apply but users can continue to use the data network.
  • Higher data packages are available. Please e-mail mobiles@ucc.ie for further details.

 

Both Three and Vodafone communicate via text to the users when they have used their monthly data allowances.

Will I be tied into a 24 month contract?

No. All accounts with Three and Vodafone are on a rolling 1 month contract basis that can be cancelled at any time and there are no disconnection fees applied.

Three are UCC’s preferred provider following a recent tendering process and plans were in train to port all account holders to Three. While the porting plan has been put on hold all orders processed will be open contract, i.e. No minimum contract duration as devices will be purchased at full handset costs.
