Silhouette of young people enjoying the night

All Right All Night

A national campaign for 16-24 year olds to ensure that social nights out are free from intimidation, violence and fear for all - and especially for young and vulnerable people.

About the Project

All Right All Night is a national campaign to ensure that social nights out are free from intimidation, violence and fear for all – and especially for young and vulnerable people.

Empowered with the right knowledge and skills, if we all look out for one another, as ‘Active Bystanders’ we can have safe and fun nights out.

The key message is to only make an intervention, IF IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.  Participants learn how to assess a situation in order to identify the best intervention skills to utilise in that situation, to ensure a safe outcome for everyone.

All Right All Night - On Night's Out, Lets Look out for Each Other

The How

This is achieved through the delivery of bespoke education and training delivered in educational, youth and workplace settings.  The training programme empowers participants to be active bystanders through:

  1. Introducing participants to the concept of an active bystander.
  2. Educating participants to understand and identify acts of sexual hostility, harassment and violence, and recognise the dangers of the normalisation of abuse.
  3. Empowers and upskills participants to safely intervene and demand a safer society, workplace, study and social environment.
  4. Develop a culture which stands against unacceptable behaviour and abuse.

Active Partners

We will work with all relevant state, public and private partners to build a ‘night safety culture’. We will also actively engage  with service providers within the night-time economy through training, supporting voluntary compliance and certification.

Collaboration

All Right All Night is delivered in collaboration with the UCC Bystander Intervention Programme and supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports, and Media in support of the recommendations in the Night-Time Economy Taskforce Report. The government is building a cross-department, cohesive policy, and legislative framework to enable a thriving, diverse and inclusive night-time social and economic environment in which everyone feels free and safe.
